Marc Porritt-Allison is Head of our Business Development Team. Marc is a qualified lawyer who has also worked in the insurance industry, in-house, for a major insurer for 5 years before moving into private practice. Our specialist trauma rehabilitation service provides psychological assessment and therapy for clients who have suffered an injury through an accident on the road, at work or in other instances, such as a result of a criminal injury.
Our Psychological treatment Co-ordinators take the guesswork out of finding a suitable therapist. We match the injured person to the psychotherapist which means the therapist is conveniently located close to the injured person. The injured person is assessed and then a treatment plan is recommended if necessary. On some occasions treatment is not necessary after assessment.
This is the service that supports large employers. We are able to support corporate bodies in a number of areas where psychological factors impinge on the individual’s ability to work effectively including stress management, absence management and corporate training. We work closely with employers and employees of large organisations including the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and emergency services.
Another aspect to this service is the condition management return to work groups on behalf of the government funded “Pathways to Work” programme. Our assessment procedures utilize psychometric measures to diagnose problems and evaluate absence management treatment to maximize the employee’s potential to remain in work or ensure early return to work.
Our individual clients consult us for assistance in overcoming a wide range of common psychological problems. Appointments for self-funded therapy are available at our clinics throughout the UK. We are registered providers of psychological therapy for health insurance companies such as BUPA, Aviva and Standard Life.
